Greetings Alpha Chi Omega GFs-
Hello ladies.. welcome to the Alpha Chi Omega Reunion blog. Myself, Kembree and Julie J. are planning the Alpha Chi Reunion for Sept. 24th UT vs FL football game (seeing I am such an expert in football knowledge and lingo..I mean the innings are always so very interesting to watch..jk)! Anyway, as you will see this blog is super informal, not to be formal and stuffy and, yes, you will probably find 1000 erors (again, I laugh..errors..jk). Despite the fact I enjoy writing, I am not an expert in any way possible. So here we go..
We wanted to give you all an update on the Alpha Chi Reunion and let you know what we have so far! I hope you all can come this year ( I hate I missed it last time..and you will too if you do not come)! We have dynamic trio team planning this year and with 'Disco Duck' (Kat), 'Creative Kembree' and 'Jazzy Julie' on the team you can count on a good time.
This is a work in progress and it will be pretty fluid until we know what time UT is actually playing but we have a rough layout of what to expect. Also, this is your reunion too so if you have anything you are dying to include and do, please let us know. With that said, if you have anything you most definitely DO NOT want to do, please let us know. ..if you are brave (haha, again, jk)..ideas are welcome!

Option A
IF it is a DAY GAME
Breakfast/walker goup (meet local) or possible TN River Boat w/mimosa's, muffins..etc (pending game time)...let me know what sounds good to you all
Afternoon- Possible Tailgate Tent (wk in progress, we will see)..are you interested??

I am working with a restaurant, private room for all of us, with a view..inside and outside. They are sending me the details.. within walking distance from the stadium. FYI-Calhouns NO longer has this option during football weekends..it is strickly first come, first serve no reservations for private groups..etc. I do not want to count on first come, first serve..nightmare city.
Option B
If it is a NIGHT GAME
Breakfast/walker group-TN River Boat..(pending game time)
Alpha Chi Lunch/dinner- location TBD

Hotel Arrangements:
SO this is bummer news and best bet (at this point) you will book your own rooms..
I called a number of hotels (from Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Hilton..etc) and they NO LONGER block off rooms for groups on these big football weekends!! Boy, were you guys lucky last time.
Here are some prices on hotels for Sept.23-Sept. 25th.
1. Sheraton, Cumberland Hotel (.6 miles from stadium-block room N/A)
2. Holiday Inn (1 mile from stadium)- $459 (only 76 traditional rooms left)
3. Hilton (approx. 1 mile from stadium, they said)-$429 (only 30 traditional rooms left)
4. *Knoxville, Marriott (1.5 miles from stadium)-as of now, she stated btwn $389-$329 UNTIL APRIL 4th. I can not do block rooms..long story.
Because price is the lowest at Knoxville Marriott, we will make this the 'official Alpha Chi Reunion Hotel'.
Additional Notes:
-If you have any Alpha Chi 'stuff' (old cups, frames, logo of any kind) that you are willing to travel with and let us borrow just for decoration purposes..please let any of us know. You will get it back.
-You most likely will get separate invitations to certain functions just so it makes it easier for us to track, keep up and remind (so we do not have to do it ourselves) bc I know not all of you can come to everything, but may come to some of the things..
-If any brave souls would like to get a small group together (Battle of the Pledge Grps) and perform a funny, silly, but hysterical 'rush skit'...you go girl. You know you want to...or not?
- We are working on tee shirts, so feel free to submit ideas.
