Just a little update ..

Hello gals-this is going to be quick, but I'll send more later. 

Still waiting on word regarding the group tickets. IF....you guys have to purchase them on your own...BIG IF..are you still wanting to do a group lunch on Sept. 24th?? Hopefully, you should have received the email from paperless post. Look over the info, and just let us know when you can (details are listed in the invitation). Basically it is a great lunch pregame UT/FL at Ruth Chris on the river for $70/person. Spouses, loved ones.. are welcome too. Just let us know. So we can plan accordingly and if anyone still wants to join. My plane tickets are purchased. :)

Hello ladies..updates

Hi chicas,

I just wanted to update you all on the timeline of things for the reunion this fall.

Football tickets:
So, we are waiting to hear back from the school regarding the time and exact price of the tickets for our group. Kembree is taking on that major project and she is on top of things. She will let us know as soon as they release tickets, times..etc. When they do release the info, we will send out another evite for the game regarding exact info (prices..etc). I would say expect something July/August.

Friday night info/gathering/meeting spot:
That exact info will go out probably in July and we will keep up updated.

Saturday Am Riverboat option: 
Depending on feedback and availability, we will send that invite out in July with details as well. What I do know (for those planners)...it would be Sat am, perhaps around 10sh and be approximately $28/person for 1 hr riverboat cruise with 'light' breakfast and drinks. This idea will also depend on game time..so as soon as we have game time this 'idea' will be solidified and confirmed.

Saturday Alpha Chi Reunion Lunch:
We are lucky enough to have reserved a great spot for our reunion on Saturday before the game! I can not express enough how hard it was to  find a place.  This being one of the most attended games, this was the only restaurant I could find that would take our group and reserve ahead of time for game day that was actually within walking distance to the game. The new policy these days are a first come, first serve with groups regarding restaurants. Not to mention, the place is great and food is wonderful, but the company will be even better!! The place is at Ruth Chris and is a set menu at $70/person. Before you have a cardiac arrest, please know this was extremely difficult to find with it being a big game day for UT and it does include apps, salad, entree (options to pick from) and a dessert. The place is set and my credit card has been placed, so this is the restaurant.  I really tried girls..it was tough. The invites to that will be out (again) as soon as they release game time...be looking for it sometime in July/August.

After game: 
Do whatever!

Hi gals..sorry if you got repeats of invites to this blog..the blog was quite touchy today and driving me nuts!! Anyway, hopefully this will work and you can access the blog ok...obviously, you can if you are reading this..

Just an update on the Knoxville Marriott Hotel, I have been told they are sold out. Another hotel you can add to your list (other than those listed in the previous blog) is the Knoxville Hilton-I am staying there. I tried for block rooms at the Marriott and they were offering me a crapola deal...so I did not sign the contract. Hotels are on your own, but I am sure you can find something.

Julie and Kembree are working hard with details on the event so stay tuned to your emails..we will send info out via:

You should have received your Save the Date (except for those emails that may have been sent to me in the past 24 hrs). Honestly, there is not a lot of different info on there than here..but if you shoot me an email if you did not get one, I will email you one.. (more for our number records).

Hello you Foxy Ladies!!

Greetings Alpha Chi Omega GFs-

Hello ladies.. welcome to the Alpha Chi Omega Reunion blog.  Myself, Kembree and Julie J. are planning the Alpha Chi Reunion for Sept. 24th UT vs FL football game (seeing I am such an expert in football knowledge and lingo..I mean the innings are always so very interesting to watch..jk)! Anyway, as you will see this blog is super informal, not to be formal and stuffy and, yes, you will probably find 1000 erors (again, I laugh..errors..jk). Despite the fact I enjoy writing, I am not an expert in any way possible. So here we go..

We wanted to give you all an update on the Alpha Chi Reunion and let you know what we have so far! I hope you all can come this year ( I hate I missed it last time..and you will too if you do not come)! We have dynamic trio team planning this year and with 'Disco Duck' (Kat),  'Creative Kembree' and 'Jazzy Julie' on the team you can count on a good time.

This is a work in progress and it will be pretty fluid until we know what time UT is actually playing but we have a rough layout of what to expect. Also, this is your reunion too so if you have anything you are dying to include and do, please let us know. With that said, if you have anything you most definitely DO NOT want to do, please let us know. ..if you are brave (haha, again, jk)..ideas are welcome!

I am working with a restaurant, private room for all of us, with a view..inside and outside. They are sending me the details.. within walking distance from the stadium. FYI-Calhouns NO longer has this option during football weekends..it is strickly first come, first serve no reservations for private groups..etc. I do not want to count on first come, first serve..nightmare city.

 Hotel Arrangements:
SO this is bummer news and best bet (at this point) you will book your own rooms..
I called a number of hotels (from Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Hilton..etc) and they NO LONGER block off rooms for groups on these big football weekends!! Boy, were you guys lucky last time.

Here are some prices on hotels for Sept.23-Sept. 25th.
1. Sheraton, Cumberland Hotel (.6 miles from stadium-block room N/A)
2. Holiday Inn (1 mile from stadium)- $459 (only 76 traditional rooms left)
3. Hilton (approx. 1 mile from stadium, they said)-$429 (only 30 traditional rooms left)
4. *Knoxville, Marriott (1.5 miles from stadium)-as of now, she stated btwn $389-$329  UNTIL APRIL 4th. I can not do block rooms..long story.

Because price is the lowest at Knoxville Marriott, we will make this the 'official Alpha Chi Reunion Hotel'.

Additional Notes:
-If you have pictures from your alpha chi days (as I have none here..), please email them to auline40@gmail.com

-If you have any Alpha Chi 'stuff'  (old cups, frames, logo of any kind) that you are willing to travel with and let us borrow just for decoration purposes..please let any of us know. You will get it back.

-You most likely will get separate invitations to certain functions just so it makes it easier for us to track, keep up and remind (so we do not have to do it ourselves) bc I know not all of you can come to everything, but may come to some of the things..

-If you are interested in touring the Alpha CHI house, please let us know.

-If any brave souls would like to get a small group together (Battle of the Pledge Grps) and perform a funny, silly, but hysterical 'rush skit'...you go girl. You know you want to...or not?

- We are working on tee shirts, so feel free to submit ideas.
